We had hoped to have a Fareham Music Festival at the usual time in May, and indeed we had prepared a Covid compliant schedule. However, with the current lockdown, if the festival cannot go ahead in May, we are looking to run it at the end of September or at half term in October.
This will of course be dependent on the Covid rules prevailing at the time.
We will monitor the Covid guidance, prepare a revised schedule, and keep you informed of progress at the beginning of March.
Sule Taylor, Chairperson
The Festival was established in 1945 to provide a performance platform for musicians of all ages. We organise a friendly annual competition of music and singing (usually over the Bank holiday weekend at the end of April or the beginning of May) and employ professional adjudicators to provide constructive criticism, advice and encouragement. We would love to hear from you if you would like to enter, or simply come along to watch.
We are a charitable organisation run entirely by volunteers and are proud to be affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance and Speech of which Her Majesty The Queen is Patron.
